Golden State – After suffering a devastating opening night loss to their western conference nemesis, the San Antonio Spurs, the Golden State Warriors’ season is officially, unquestionably over. The grand experiment, adding Kevin Durant to an already-stacked Warriors lineup, has been an unequivocal disaster. “We can’t score, can’t stop anybody, can’t win,” said disgruntled Warriors owner Joe Lacob who spoke to reporters after the game, “our season is over and now we have to blow it up and start from scratch.” Early rumors coming out of the front office are that the Warriors are considering forfeiting the rest of the season to begin a Philadelphia-like tanking process with the hopes of rebuilding over the next 3-5 years. The Warriors are already shopping Kevin Durant and Steph Curry but are having trouble finding a team willing to take on two has-beens who are clearly past their prime.
