Mets Bench Harvey Against Houston

harveyHouston – Following ESPN’s decision to remove commentator Robert Lee from the sidelines of a UVA football game and FOX’s decision to remove cameraman Benedict Arnold from an upcoming Patriots showdown, the Mets have decided to bench ace Matt Harvey against the Houston Astros. “It just felt wrong,” said Mets skipper, Terry Collins, “to have Matt [Harvey] out there just destroying Houston, I mean, too soon, ya know?” Statisticians at the Elias Sports Bureau believe that this is the first time a starting pitcher has been benched specifically due to his name. However, experts did point out that in a similar attempt at political correctness, Sandy Alomar Jr. has not been allowed in the state of New Jersey since 2012.
