Reports: Numerous NFL Teams Expressing Interest in former NBA player Jabari Bird

Boston Celtics Guard Jabari Bird Arraigned On Charges Of Assault, KidnappingNew Jersey – Despite having no meaningful football experience and no discernible football skill, reports have surfaced that numerous NFL teams have expressed ‘significant interest’ in signing former NBA player, Jabari Bird, after he was waived by the Atlanta Hawks. The former NBA reserve made headlines in 2018 when he was arrested for allegedly strangling a woman several times. NFL front office sources for at least a dozen teams confirmed their ‘active pursuit’ of Bird, with one source offering that Bird is “just the kind of guy we need around here.” Another front office executive, who also spoke with us on the condition of anonymity, argued: “Look, he made some mistakes, but we’re confident he’s a changed man. Is he a football guy? No. Can he play at all whatsoever? Probably not. But he’s an athlete. And character-wise, he’s a perfect fit for our locker room.” At press time, Bird was unavailable for comment, but the local sheriff suggested Bird would most likely be available for a 10 minute recorded conversation on Friday.
