Bristol – An employee at ESPN’s corporate studios found and released former NBA referee, Steve Javie, from a locked closet where he worked during the NBA playoffs as ESPN’s Referee Analyst. Although the NBA finals concluded in June, staff at ESPN studios had apparently forgotten about Javie and he was only discovered after a janitor heard a sound described as “the whimpers of a whistle”. Amazingly, Javie was able to subsist on one bottle of water and 11,542 hours of NBA footage for the duration of his captivity. After emerging from the ‘replay center’, witnesses reported that Javie issued several-dozen flagrant fouls to any and all who were present.
