Providence – At halftime during the first round NCAA tournament game between the UNC-Wilmington Seahawks and Duke Blue Devils, an anonymous twitter account was able to obtain and publish the final score. While the Seahawks were leading 31-29 at the end of the half, the twitter handle @NCAASpoiler revealed during the CBS halftime show that Duke would ultimately prevail 65-58. The NCAA announced that they would be conducting an investigation after the leaked final score hurt second half TV ratings. Curiously, the twitter handle also divulged that the Seahawks would be called for twice as many fouls as the Blue Devils during the second half. The NCAA declined to comment on this finding.
